Adding a new event

If you are already registered, please login here to add a free or premium listing. We might need to add the event options to your account - if it's not obvious how to add an event when you login, please contact us via the chat and we'll update your account.

If you're new to TimeOutdoors and haven't previously listed an event, please register here (tick the 'I'd like to add free event listings' option) and follow the instructions to add the event.

Updating an event

| It's much quicker to update your event from last year than add a new one. If you are the event organiser and would like to update your event details, please login to the account in which the event is registered.

How do I access my leads?

||| This article is for advertisers. Each time a lead is generated you will receive a lead notification email prompting you to login to your account.

Leads overview

When you login, browse to > Advertising > Leads. The leads table has 4 tabs:

New
In progress
Sign ups
Lost

| Re-order leads by clicking column headings in the table || To change the number of rows displayed, select 10, 25, 50 or 100 from the drop down || Leads may be displayed over multiple pages - click Previous/Next to move between pages

New leads

This tab displays leads that have not yet been accepted. To accept leads, select all rows or select individual leads using the check boxes on the left - then click the Accept leads button. This will move the leads to the In progress tab.

In progress

These are leads that have been accepted. Full lead details are available on this tab, including lead name, contact details, lead date plus any questions or notes entered into the lead form.

From this tab you can update leads as follows:

Mark as lost - if a lead is no longer interested, please mark it as lost to avoid any unnecessary follow-up activity
Update status - change the status to/from cold, warm or hot or confirm a sign up
Archive - remove the lead from the table to stay focused on those leads that matter

A sign up can be marked as either:

Provisional - if the user has told us they have signed up, we will mark t

I would like to sign up for an adventure

||| This article is for adventure participants. If you've requested further information about an adventure, you'll find details in your shortlist. To access your shortlist, simply login to your account or register here to access full details including the link to register.

Question 4

How do I add or update charity places in 3rd party events?

Accepted Answer

||| This article is for charities with places in 3rd party events such as Great North Run. || Please note there is no way for charities to recruit own place participants using timeoutdoors - only add details if you have bought guaranteed places.

Please login to your account and select the Charity places button.

To update an existing charity place

Select the Update button for the relevant charity place and make the changes.
Once you've finished making your changes, confirm the details when prompted - this will let us know you want the changes to go live.
We'll then quality check the updates and publish them on the site.

To add a new charity place

Select Add new charity place and enter the details requested.
Once you've finished adding the details, confirm the details when prompted - this will let us know you want the charity place to go live.
We'll then quality check the details and publish it on the site.

To remove a charity place

Select the remove icon for the relevant event (red bin).
This temporarily removes the charity place.

Question 5

I've logged in but there are no new leads

Accepted Answer

||| This article is for advertisers. Each time a lead is generated you will receive a lead notification email prompting you to login to your account. You have received a lead notification email from us but when you login there are no new leads to download. This is usually for one of the following reasons.

Someone else has logged in

Someone else has logged in since we sent the email - this is common when lead emails are sent to generic (rather than personal) email addresses. When someone logs in to your account, they may have accepted the new leads.

Logged in to wrong account

Another possible reason is that you have logged in to the wrong account. You need to be logged in to the main account - you should also see all of the information you have published on the website in the same account. If not, the chances are that you're using the wrong email address as the username.

Duplicate lead

Occasionally people submit their details for the same thing twice, which can result in two leads. We have systems in place to identify this and we will delete one of the leads. If we choose to delete the more recent lead, y

I have registered for an event and need to change my entry

||| This article is for event participants. As we don't take entries or payments, it is not possible for us to make changes to your entry - please contact the event organiser direct to make any changes.

| At the time of entry you will usually receive an email confirmation of your place - check this for contact details. If you can't find any contact details, find the event and use the contact details displayed on the event listing.
