What is the One Million Challenge and how do I join?
This is a FREE challenge for the TimeOutdoors MyTOD community with the aim of collectively spending one million hours active outdoors in 2023. We’d love you to join us! New MyTOD users can join by: registering for an account here; you will automatically be given the option to connect your fitness tracker at Step 2 of the account set up process. Your feed is private for you to see and includes your posts plus posts from people, events, charities and topics you follow. Your profile is the version of your feed where other people can see your posts. You can set this profile to public for anyone to see, followers only or keep it private.Few readersDifference between a public, followers and private profile
A profile set to public means anyone in the TimeOutdoors community can see your MyTOD posts, cheer, comment and request to join your activities. A profile set to followers means that only people that you have approved to follow you can see your posts, cheer, comment and request to join your activities. A profile set to private means that no-one can follow you, see your posts or request to join your activities. Login to your MyTOD account and from your feed: Click on the 'share profile' button under your name; Options for how to share your profile will automatically appear; Click on your choice to be taken through to your preferred platform with a personal MyTOD profile link; There is also the option to copy your profile link to paste where you wish. Both public and follower profiles can be shared, but not profiles set to private.Few readersFinding a friend or family member's MyTOD account to follow
To connect with friends of someone you are already following: click on the 'Following' button at the top of your feed; click on their name to be taken through to their profile; select the name of who you wish to follow in their 'following' or 'followers'; click request to follow if they have a followers profile or click on 'follow' if they have a public profile. New MyTOD users: register with MyTOD here; you will automatically be given the option to upload a portrait photo in Step 1 of the set up process. For existing MyTOD users: click on the 'Edit Profile' button on your feed; you will see the option to upload a portrait photo at Step 1 of the edit profile process. If you decide not to add a photo, your profile will have the MyTOD profile avatar.Few readersI would like to add a goal to MyTOD
Your goal is the big thing you are aiming to achieve at the moment. It could be anything from 'Get Stronger' to 'Running my first Marathon'. To add your goal on MyTOD: click on 'Post Update' on your feed page; click on 'Add my goal'; complete the simple form with optional photo. Once finished press ‘submit’ and your goal will be added to your profile.Few readersDifference between a goal and a milestone
Your goal is the one big thing you are aiming to achieve. A milestone can be a stepping stone or multiple stepping stones to achieving your goal. To add a milestone to your MyTOD profile: click on 'post update'; click on 'add milestone' and complete the form. From your MyTOD feed: click on 'Post Update'; click on activity type, eg run, walk, cycle; on the activity form, you have the option to select whether this is your own activity or an organised event, and whether you are fundraising.Few readers
