# Difference between a goal and a milestone

Your **goal** is the one big thing you are aiming to achieve.  A **milestone** can be a stepping stone or multiple stepping stones to achieving your goal.  

To add a milestone to your MyTOD profile:
* click on 'post update';
* click on 'add milestone' and complete the form.  

Once finished press ‘submit’ and your milestone will be added to your profile.
